Some days during menopause, the energy level is less “ready to take on the world” and more iPhone at 3% with no charger in sight. 😂
You are technically still functioning.
But nobody should ask you to open another app.
And by “app” I mean conversation, errand, appointment, favour, dinner plan, social obligation or person requiring eye contact.
Low energy during menopause is one of those symptoms that can quietly affect everything — because unfortunately life does not receive a notification saying, “Melisa’s hormones are updating. Please suspend all responsibilities until further notice.”
Why can energy change during menopause?
Menopause is not happening in one tiny isolated corner of the body. Hormonal changes can overlap with sleep disruption, stress, mood changes, brain fog and shifts in how women feel physically day to day.
Then regular life joins the meeting.
Work. Kids. Partners. Parents. Groceries. Laundry. Messages. Appointments. The mystery container in the fridge nobody will throw out because apparently everyone is waiting for Mom to conduct the investigation.
No wonder the battery icon is blinking. 😂
Low energy is not always the same as being sleepy
This part matters. You can be awake and still have absolutely no fuel in the tank.
You might not want a nap. You might just feel flat, slow, unmotivated or like everything requires ten times more effort than it used to.
That is why women searching “why do I have no energy during menopause?” are not necessarily asking how to sleep more. Sometimes they are asking why their get-up-and-go got up and filed for early retirement.
If sleep is part of the chaos, start with the 3 AM menopause wake-up circus. And if your brain is also buffering, Menopause Brain Fog: When Your Thoughts Leave the Group Chat will feel suspiciously familiar.
The “just push through” strategy is garbage
Women are spectacularly talented at pushing through.
We push through exhaustion. We push through stress. We push through brain fog. We push through a full day while wondering whether deodorant was applied to one armpit or both.
But constantly forcing yourself through low energy without paying attention to the bigger picture is not exactly a premium wellness plan. 😂
Sometimes the answer is recognizing that your body may need better support, better recovery and fewer people asking you where things are while standing directly beside those things.
Supporting energy as part of the whole menopause picture
This is why my own menopause wellness routine looks at the whole system: sleep, stress, energy and women’s wellness together.
My menopause support system is part of that routine. I chose the products I use because I’m confident in the company, the research and the science behind them — and because I prefer being proactive about supporting my body instead of pretending menopause is not happening.

Protect the 3% 😂
If your phone had 3% battery left, you would not open twelve apps, stream a movie, turn the brightness to maximum and hand it to someone else to play games.
Yet women do the human equivalent of that to themselves constantly.
So perhaps today we protect the 3%.
And anyone who asks, “What’s for dinner?” can Google a recipe. 💗😂
