There is regular forgetfulness… and then there is menopause brain fog.
Regular forgetfulness is misplacing your keys.
Menopause brain fog is finding the keys in your hand while you are actively accusing the entire household of moving them.
I can walk into a room with the confidence of a woman on a mission and, three seconds later, have absolutely no idea why I’m there. So naturally I open the fridge. Apparently my brain believes the answer may be beside the cheese.
Why does menopause feel like 47 browser tabs are open?
Midlife comes with a lot going on at once. Hormonal changes, interrupted sleep, stress, busy schedules and plain old exhaustion can all make concentration and memory feel less cooperative than they used to.
And no, I’m not interested in pretending I’m gracefully floating through this stage of life in linen pants while drinking cucumber water.
I am occasionally reheating the same coffee three times and forgetting where I put it.
My goal isn’t perfection. It’s support.
I’ve become much more intentional about the basics that help me feel like a functioning human: sleep, hydration, food, movement, stress support and a routine I can actually stick to.
And then there’s my Sip ’n Sanity ritual — because some mornings the first order of business is simply getting the brain online before anyone expects me to people.
Supplements aren’t magic, and they aren’t a substitute for medical care. But I like having nutritional support built into my routine for the areas I’m trying to support, including energy, focus, sleep and overall wellness.
If your brain has also left the group chat…
You are welcome here.
We’re going to talk about menopause the way it actually happens: the brain fog, the random rage, the 3 a.m. ceiling inspections, the cravings, the hot flashes and the moment you put your phone in the pantry and briefly consider blaming the dog.
If focus, energy and the ability to complete a sentence are currently high on your wish list, take a peek at the Dose4Life Energy & Focus collection and see what fits your own wellness routine.
