There is tired… and then there is menopause tired.
Regular tired says, “Maybe I should go to bed early.” Menopause tired says, “I have been awake for 14 minutes and I would like to formally resign from the day.” 😂
And the most offensive part? Sometimes you actually slept.
You went to bed. You stayed there. Nobody was standing over you at 3 AM asking where the scissors are. And yet you wake up feeling like you personally unloaded a cargo ship overnight.
So if you keep asking, “Why am I so tired during menopause?” — welcome. This is a very crowded club.
Why can menopause make you feel exhausted?
Hormonal changes can affect sleep quality, mood, stress response and how energetic you feel during the day. Add night sweats, restless sleep, mental overload and the fact that many women are simultaneously working, parenting, caregiving and trying to remember why they walked into the kitchen… and suddenly the exhaustion is not exactly mysterious.
Even when you technically get enough hours of sleep, the quality of that sleep can matter just as much.
Which feels deeply unfair because apparently now we have to inspect the craftsmanship of our sleep too. 😂
“But I slept eight hours!”
Congratulations. Your body has reviewed your submission and denied your energy request.
Menopause fatigue can feel like heaviness, low motivation, brain fog, afternoon crashes or the sudden belief that carrying a laundry basket upstairs should qualify as an Olympic event.
And exhaustion can feed right into other menopause nonsense. When you’re drained, concentration gets harder, patience gets shorter and every sound another human makes becomes legally actionable.

Supporting energy means supporting more than energy
This is why I look at menopause wellness as a whole picture: sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, energy and the million tiny things our bodies are trying to manage at once.
My menopause support system is part of that daily routine for me, using products I chose because I’m confident in the research and science behind them.

Also, can we stop calling women lazy?
Because sometimes a woman is not “unmotivated.” She is exhausted, overstimulated, sleeping like garbage and attempting to operate a human body whose settings were changed without permission.
She does not need a motivational quote over a sunrise.
She needs energy. And possibly everyone to stop asking her what’s for dinner. 😂
